In past years, this community event offered a one-stop location for direct services to residents of Scott and Carver counties who are “living on little,” those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

We provided free healthcare services, employment assistance education, legal assistance, veteran services, housing information, haircuts, and assistance obtaining birth certificates, driver licenses and identification cards.  Resources and information were available from agencies that provide food support, energy assistance, educational opportunities, social services, mental health and chemical dependency services. Transportation to the event and childcare at the event were provided.

This website provides information and resources on what Project Community Connects purpose and design has been.  Again, it is our intention to host an in person event again in the future!

Can You Help?

Project Community Connect is funded entirely by donations and is organized and staffed by Volunteers from the community. In the past, PCC has received strong support from social service agencies, the faith community, businesses and organizations. We rely on a variety of Service Providers, including attorneys, healthcare providers, dental care providers, hairdressers, and staff from local agencies to provide direct services at the event. Many volunteers are needed the day of the event. PCC also relies on Supporters to help sponsor the event or donate to PCC and to provide products that are given out to PCC guests.

Donations to PCC are 100% tax deductible. If you would like to write a check, please make the check payable to the CAP Agency and write ‘PCC’ in the memo line.
